About us

ValYu is an electrifying Alternative Pop band that seamlessly blends various genres, captivating audiences with their infectious melodies and energetic performances. Drawing inspiration from bands and artists such as Waterparks, All Time Low, and Porter Robinson, ValYu has crafted a unique sound that pushes the boundaries of pop music.

The journey of ValYu began in 2021 when Yuzu’s Rain and Chris Valbak joined forces to create dynamic cover songs. Their undeniable chemistry and shared passion for music quickly propelled them to create original compositions, leading to the release of their debut album in 2022. The album showcased their ability to effortlessly merge pop sensibilities with elements of EDM, rock, metal, prog rock, and math rock, resulting in a genre-bending sonic experience.

Yuzu’s Rain, the band’s main producer, main vocalist, and sub-guitarist, possesses a remarkable talent for crafting captivating melodies and atmospheric soundscapes. With his powerful vocals and emotive delivery, Yuzu’s vocals soar above the instrumental arrangements, leaving a lasting impact on listeners. His intricate production adds depth and complexity to ValYu’s compositions, showcasing their versatility as a musician.

Chris Valbak, on the other hand, serves as the band’s main guitarist, main vocalist, and sub-producer. Renowned for their impeccable guitar skills and dynamic stage presence, Chris injects raw energy into ValYu’s performances. Their powerful vocals effortlessly navigate between soaring anthems and intimate moments, creating an emotional connection with audiences. Chris’s contributions as a producer add an extra layer of creativity to the band’s sonic landscape.

Currently based in Denmark, ValYu have been silently honing their craft, trying to cater to a more international audience. Which is why, their dreams extend beyond geographical boundaries, as they plan to relocate to Japan, a country that has played a significant role in shaping their artistic vision. Inspired by Japanese culture and the vibrant music scene, ValYu seeks to immerse themselves in the rich musical tapestry of the nation, infusing their sound with new influences and reaching a broader international audience.

ValYu’s future holds great promise, as they embark on their journey to create their eagerly awaited second album in 2023. Armed with their unwavering dedication, unparalleled creativity, and a passion for pushing musical boundaries, ValYu is poised to carve their own path in the music industry, captivating the hearts of listeners around the globe.
